A Scathing Blogger Criticism

I've just written a great article criticizing Blogger. Just wait for the article to load. As soon as Blogger loads the article, you'll see why Blogger isn't very good. Any moment now, an article that takes the proverbial wind out of Blogger's sails will load and reveal my scathing criticism. Wait until you see it. It's really quite awesome, if I do say so myself.

...

Any moment now.

Wow. That is all I can say. That must be the greatest article ever written. I cant believe someone was able to come up with that. It blows the mind and boggles it too. If thats possible. If not then it is just a good article.

You are absolutely an amazing, articulate man. Your article says volumes not only about your experiance with blogger but blogger itself. Masterful.

I was going to post a comment as soon as I read this...but it sat there forever saying "waiting for www.blogger.com".

Thank you. I'm glad it's not only my blog.

By the way, your way of dealing with blogger-induced frustration is much better than mine (punching myself repeatedly in the genitals).

Well, it seems to be working a bit better now. No doubt in response to your amazingly well-written and oh-so-scathing editorial. Way to stick it to the man...or whoever runs blogger.

Although your commentary never loaded in IE, in Mozilla it came right up (consider this for the problem you are having). As for the difficulties you outline in Part IV, just press F4 while clicking the blog reset and you will circumvent the Template Redundancy. Parts V-VII of your complaint are simply caused by the effect known in programming circles as Jingo's Schism. Rescan your Blog's output map with a new line-init and then reboot as an adjunct.

I've been a long time user, but this is a good opportunity to remind everyone that Fire Fox is much better than Internet Explorer.

There's nothing funny about bad browsers.

Okay, it's a little funny.

Hi

I'm sorry to hijack this site. I have made many a sarcastic comment and thus am in no way qualified to throw myself on your mercy.

BUT I'm going to anyway. I am in the weird situation of facing potential deportation for writing a leftie article about immigration in the Village Voice, and would appreciate some support. Should I be thrown out or not? What do you think?

Here's the link:

look for MIMI and you'll find my story....

I agree with you on pretty much everything. Instructions on how to break/bypass the law is a gray area, but I believe in absolute free speech, so...

I've been trying all day to post this comment, and all I wanted to say was:

Joy shared is joy multiplied. Misery shared is misery divided.
Thanks for sharing! I feel so much better now.

One thing I have learned from my experience with Blogger is that when it seems like all is lost . . .

. . . it might not be. Sometimes it turns up on your blog an hour later. Patience is a virtue. I think.

It never worked for me, but I will take your word for it. I was debating about switching over to Blogger from Xanga, don't think so now. There is a discussion about Blogger's recent issues in Flickr.com too.

Thanks Andy. The Right wingers and the Minutemen are posting me some nasty shit right now, very weird when last week I was just an anonymous ba-itch. I love coming to your site and forgetting all the NY politics and remembering why I came here.x

Whew. I'll bet the higher-ups at Blogger could barely sleep through the night after that public recrimination.

(That said, quite witty. Blogger has been very annoying lately. Don't they know we rely on them for our "I should be working instead of playing on the internet" hours?!)

Brilliant.

I wound up ditching Blogger last week and moving my blog to a Moveable Type app running on my hosting guy's server. Apparently it was hell to install but the results are just plain delicious. It even imported my blogger blog.

Multi-categorized posts, comment approval cycles, and all kinds of other goodness I haven't even discovered yet. I think it cost something like $60 US to buy, and then whatever you're paying to host your site. Mind you blogspot types would need to find a site host. Oh well.

At 9:09 PM, Blogger Andy said...

This was really really stupid. I don't even find blogger slow. In fact, I'd say it was the opposite. I really don't know why this was a Blog they noticed.

Amen to that. Who is this jackass?
